Self-Driving Coalition Statement On New York State's AV Testing Application

Washington -- Today, the Self-Driving Coalition for Safer Streets released the following statement from general counsel David Strickland in response to New York State's application for autonomous vehicle testing:

“Our Coalition's mission is to promote the benefits of fully self-driving vehicles and support the most safe and rapid deployment possible of these innovative and potentially life-saving technologies. While we regret New York has only taken action to permit very limited testing, we look forward to working with state officials to facilitate greater real-world testing and deployment of this technology in the state.”
