WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association (AVIA) today announced the hiring of Elizabeth Bender as Manager of Government Affairs. The newly created role reflects AVIA's growing policy advocacy presence as state and federal policymakers focus on autonomous vehicle policy.
Bender joins AVIA from BNSF Railway, where she worked in federal government affairs. Prior to BNSF, she served at Center Forward, a bipartisan policy organization in Washington, D.C. She brings experience in transportation policy and a record of working across party lines to advance legislative solutions.
