How is your company advancing autonomous vehicles?

Bot Auto is accelerating the commercialization of autonomous trucking through a transportation-as-a-service (TaaS) business model. Bot Auto has built a foundation model for autonomous driving that learns from massive, diverse real-world and simulated data—enabling faster adaptation, greater generalization, and superior safety performance. Our system integrates perception, prediction, and planning within a unified AI framework that continually improves from every mile driven. Through extensive real-world testing and continuous fleet operations, we validate our technology under real commercial conditions, setting a higher standard for scalability, reliability, and performance in driverless trucking.

What’s an example of a challenge your company is trying to solve for?

The biggest challenge in autonomous trucking isn’t just technical—it’s economic. We’re focused on reducing cost per mile (CPM) while maintaining the highest safety standards. This means tackling complex problems like long-tail driving scenarios, optimizing operational uptime, and ensuring seamless integration with logistics networks. Our goal is to make autonomy not only possible but also profitable.

Why is the work of your company important?

The U.S. trucking industry is facing a safe driver shortage and rising operational costs. Autonomous trucking offers a transformative solution by increasing efficiency, improving safety, and consistent capacity. Bot Auto’s approach aims to enhance freight reliability and boost supply chain resilience, which are critical for the American economy.

What policy solutions are most important for your company?

We support clear and consistent regulatory frameworks that enable safe deployment of autonomous trucks across state lines. Policies that promote data-driven safety validation, infrastructure readiness, and cross-state reciprocity are vital to unlocking the full potential of driverless freight. Collaboration between industry, regulators, and safety organizations is essential for building public trust.
