AVIA Statement on U.S. DOT Announcement on AV Framework

WASHINGTON -- The Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association released the following statement from CEO Jeff Farrah on the recent announcement by Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy on a Federal AV Framework:

“AVIA commends Secretary Sean Duffy and the Administration for taking a bold and necessary step in developing a federal policy framework for autonomous vehicles.

“Earlier this year, AVIA released Securing American Leadership in Autonomous Vehicles, a comprehensive set of policy recommendations designed to help the U.S. maintain its global lead in AV innovation.

“We look forward to working with Secretary Duffy and his team to implement smart, forward-looking policies that will make our roads safer, expand mobility, strengthen supply chains, and drive American economic growth for generations to come.”
